TAPE Forum - Terms of use
These courses are intended for professionals working in the fields of healthcare and human services fields. Their focus is on professional development for those trained to work in these fields who wish to improve their knowledge and skills. They are not designed to help, treat, or advise clients or patients. The forums are intended to support professionals, through collaboration and discussion, to enhance their capacity to provide services to the community.
By accessing the “TAPE Educational Services” website (hereinafter referred to as “TAPE”, “we”, “us”, “our”, “TAPE Educational Services”, http://forum.tapestudies.com, “www.tapestudies.com”), you agree to be legally bound by the following terms. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the following terms, then please do not access and/or use “TAPE Educational Services”. These terms may change at any time and we will do our utmost to inform you of any changes. However, it would be prudent for the user to review our terms on a regular basis because your continued use of “TAPE Educational Services” after any changes have been implemented, means that you agree to be legally bound by our terms as they are updated and/or amended.
Our forums are powered by phpBB (hereinafter referred to as “they”, “them”, “their”, “phpBB software”, “www.phpbb.com”, “phpBB Group”, “phpBB Teams”), which is a bulletin board solution released under “General Public License” (hereinafter “GPL”) and which can be downloaded from www.phpbb.com. The phpBB software only facilitates internet based discussions, and the phpBB Group is not responsible for what TAPE allows and/or disallows as permissible content and/or conduct. TAPE Educational Services’ FORUM is an online community that is utilized through invitation ONLY, by our faculty, our students and special guests. By becoming a member of our community you agree to the following rules which are set in place to keep our online community enjoyable for everyone. Failure to obey any of these rules will lead to a suspension or deletion of your account and/or banning of your IP address from this board.
Links and advertisements: Links in good taste are allowed. Links or promotion of sites dealing with hacking, freaking, narcotics, pornography, or any other illegal materials are not permitted. Advertisement of sites for personal and/or third parties’ profit are not permitted.
Language: Swearing or any vulgar language in topic / thread titles is not permitted. Excessive language in bad taste is not permitted in any posts. You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where “TAPE Educational Services” is hosted or International Law. Doing so may lead you to being immediately and permanently banned, with notification of your Internet Service Provider if deemed required by TAPE.
Signatures: Personal signatures allow a way for members to uniquely identify their personal tastes. Degrading or demeaning content is not permitted in signatures. Links are permitted in signatures if the site linked to, does not violate the above policy on links.
General Posting Rules: Please respect the board and other members. Harassment, degrading comments, and any comments which may be offensive to a certain group of people will not be tolerated and will result in deletion of your post or thread. Continued violations will result in a temporary or permanent ban from the forum. As with the links policy, threads dealing with illegal activities (piracy, narcotics, etc) or with extreme coarse language, violence, or erotic materials will NOT be tolerated.
Spam will not be tolerated on this board. In attempting to maintain a professional atmosphere on this board, moderators as well as administrators will, at their own discretion, remove or edit irrelevant posts and threads from all discussion areas. Abuse of our spam policy will result in deletion of your account and a permanent ban of your IP address from the forum.
The IP addresses of all posts are recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that “TAPE Educational Services” has the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should we see fit.
Liability: TAPE Educational Services will not be held liable or responsible in any way for anything posted within the Forum. The comments and opinions placed on this website by the members or the moderation staff do not directly reflect the opinions of TAPE Educational Services’ administration. Reader discretion is advised. By using this site, you agree that the advice given by members, moderators, or the administration staff is provided “as-is”, with no warranty of any kind. The administration, moderators, and members of this site will not be responsible for any loss or damage of equipment or software as a result of the advice given on this site.
Privacy: TAPE Educational Services is compliant with the Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act (Privacy Act). As a user you permit TAPE Educational Services to store in our database any information that you have entered in the Forum. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, neither “TAPE Educational Services” nor phpBB shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. As a user you agree to not disclose any information which might be considered private under the Privacy Act. Not doing so may lead you to being immediately and permanently banned, with notification of your Internet Service Provider if deemed required by TAPE.
Members violating any of the above rules are subject to having their posts edited or removed. Repeat offenders will be banned from participating in discussions. Members under the age of 13 may not participate in discussions on this forum without prior consent of their parent or legal guardian.
